The Opportunity: Manhattan WMS Super User
This pivotal role acts as the bridge between our operational teams and our IT functions, ensuring the optimal performance and continuous improvement of our Manhattan Warehouse Management System (WMS). You'll be the go to expert on the floor, troubleshooting issues, driving user adoption, and identifying opportunities to enhance system functionality.
Key Responsibilities
System Support & Troubleshooting: Provide first line support to warehouse users for all Manhattan WMS related queries and issues. Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve system discrepancies and errors promptly.
Process Optimization: Collaborate with operations teams to analyze existing workflows, identify bottlenecks, and propose system driven improvements within Manhattan WMS to enhance efficiency, accuracy, and productivity.
User Training & Development: Develop and deliver engaging training sessions for new and existing WMS users. Create comprehensive user guides and standard operating procedures (SOPs) to ensure consistent and correct system usage.
System Configuration & Testing: Assist with minor WMS configuration changes. Participate in system testing (SIT, UAT) for new functionalities, upgrades, and integrations, ensuring seamless deployment.
Data Integrity & Reporting: Monitor WMS data integrity, perform regular audits, and generate reports to provide actionable insights on warehouse performance, inventory levels, and labor utilization.
Liaison & Collaboration: Act as a key liaison between warehouse operations, IT, and external vendors (where applicable) to facilitate effective communication and problem resolution.
Continuous Improvement: Proactively identify opportunities for continuous improvement within the WMS and related processes, supporting initiatives that drive operational excellence.
What We're Looking For
Manhattan WMS Expertise: Proven hands on experience as a WMS Super User, Key User, or System Specialist, specifically with Manhattan WMS (e.g., WMOS, Active WM).
Operational Acumen: Strong understanding of core warehouse operations, including receiving, put away, picking, packing, shipping, inventory control, and returns.
Problem Solving Skills: Excellent analytical and problem solving abilities, with a knack for diagnosing system issues and finding practical solutions.
Communication & Training: Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly to diverse audiences and conduct effective training.
Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail, ensuring data accuracy and system integrity.
Proactive & Self Motivated: Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and drive initiatives with minimal supervision.
Technical Proficiency: Competence in using standard office software (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Experience with SQL queries or basic reporting tools is a plus.
