Quality over quantity

Helping ERIKS solve their perm hiring challenges by actually listening to what they need.


For over 80 years ERIKS have specialised in offering a wide range of engineering components, technical services and customisation solutions to a diverse mix of industries. It’s specialities centre in the supply of Bearings, Power Transmission, Fluid Power, Flow Control, and Industrial MRO and Safety.


The company employs over 1,600 team members globally with 470 based in the UK. The UK team has experienced a 6% growth in headcount over the past 12 months.

THE PROBLEM: 

ERIKS had been struggling to hire a senior PMO for a number of months. They had been working with multiple agencies and had lots of CVs but none really fitted the specification. They were subsequently told by a number of agencies that they would need to compromise on their requirements in order to fill the role.


OUR SOLUTION:

We were introduced to the PMO lead, Reena Aslam by referral. We identified some friction within the interview & selection process which was potentially slowing down the process, leading to a drop in candidates and came to an agreement that having taken the time to meet with Reena and fully understand the soft skills and technical skills, we would only send her our top 3 candidates.


THE RESULT:

Within 3 weeks we had managed to secure the ideal permanent candidate and now plan to support Reena and the wider team with some ambitious growth plans at ERIKS over the next 12 months.
